In October of 2023, working alongside stakeholders in every corner of the state’s Blue Economy, Rhode Island Commerce completed an extensive review of our statewide offshore wind supply chain, physical assets, workforce development programs and more to start the process of developing a long-term, comprehensive plan for offshore wind jobs & investment.

Amplify the state’s industry strengths by creating connections between locally based businesses. - Education & Opportunity Awareness
Take proactive steps to engage local companies that have the capability and capacity to contribute to projects in Rhode Island and beyond. - Developer, OEM and Tier 1 Coordination
Ensure all developers, manufacturers and top-tier industry leaders can easily access Rhode Island’s assets, resources and talent. - Create an Opportunity Awareness System
Invest in a new, web-based portal through which contractors can easily find, evaluate and engage with Rhode Island companies. - Regional Leadership
Work with neighboring states in New England to share resources and best practices to create efficiencies and cost savings as new projects are approved. - Communications
